GTAGlobal Tapestry of Alternatives is organising a series of 3 dialogue sessions among Indigenous peoples and other local communities that are practicing Radical Democracy, Autonomy, and Self-Determination. This is in preparation for a global gathering of such communities to be held in February 2025. The three regional dialogues, one a month, will focus on the Global South: Asia, Latin America and Africa.

Nonhle Mbuthuma is from the Mpondo people from the Amadiba administrative area of Mpondoland, the traditional territory of the Mpondo people, located within the Wild Coast region. She fights for land and environmental rights in South Africa's Eastern Cape. In 2007 Nonhle founded the Amadiba Crisis Committee (ACC) to unite community members in five villages of the Amadiba Tribal Authority region to work together in opposition to destructive mining projects. She is now the most visible leader of the campaign against the Australian corporation Mineral Commodities Mineral Ltd (MRC).
Betty Abah is a Nigerian journalist, author and a women and children's rights activist. She is the Founder and Executive director of CEE HOPE, a girl-child rights and development non-profit organization based in Lagos State. She worked with Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria, where she led the women’s campaign desk and coordinated projects focused on women’s environmental rights throughout the Niger Delta and the African sub-region. Abah was born in Otukpo, Benue State which is in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria.
Leboo Nkapilil is member of the Ogiek and indigenous community in Kenya. He is a trained paralegal who has been instrumental in advocating for the rights of the Ogiek community. In his paralegal work, he supports the community by educating them on their rights and the existing legal frameworks available to defend those rights. He also provides guidance on the legal procedures to pursue in cases of human rights violations. Mr. Leboo is a determined community leader and member of the supervisory committee overseeing the implementation of the African Court judgment regarding the Ogiek case. He has been utilizing several avenues both nationally and regionally to articulate the issues facing the community. Furthermore, he is an environmentalist who leverages traditional knowledge to restore biodiversity and mitigate the effects of climate change.

Eliana N'Zualo is a Mozambican feminist based in Maputo, currently leading the Popular Education efforts in WoMin African Alliance. Eliana is moved by African Feminist Principles and Practice. She is the co-founder of a feminist collective called 'The Feminist Brunch' in Mozambique, and has been a part of various initiatives to address injustices in Mozambique and in the region, with a special focus to women's rights. Eliana is also a storyteller and has published two children's books in Mozambique and has been a part of anthologies in Brazil, Portugal and South Africa. She is part of GTA Facilitation Team.
